This is a little recap from the event I went to in Orlando a few months back.
Enjoy
For those of you who don’t know who Travis Pastrana is, you might as well stop reading this post at this point (or google him and then go for a walk to get over how unbelievably cool he is).
If you know Travis, you’ve heard of NitroCircus, his TV show where he and a group of his friends go out and do crazy stuff that usually involves engines.
Just before Xmas I was invited to the official opening of a new resort in Panama called NitroCity and to take part in what they called the NITROTHON.
What is that you ask?
The answer is I don’t really know how to describe it myself. It is an action sports relay where 4 teams battle it out over 2 days of events to acquire points to win the overall event.
I can’t give too much more away at this time because the guys from NitroCircus are making a series of small web clips about the whole thing, but I can give you a sneak peek with this album.
Stay tuned for videos of the madness and enjoy

Last week I was in Shenzhen, China for a quick visit to the Cabrinha factory. It was really exciting to see where all the goodies we love to use actually come from and how they’re made
.
Here’s a quick slide show. Look out for a little segment in an upcoming episode of Sessions

I was fortunate enough to spend the weekend with good friends in NYC and I have to say it was my best halloween ever ![]()
Our awesome costumes which we spent about 4 days making on my mom’s sewing machine were so awesome we won ‘best group costume’ at our party!
I think I was more proud about that than about winning a kite contest
After this, I’m off to Hong Kong and the Philippines. More goodness coming soon…
We’ve all been there.
Kites are pumped up, lines connected, harnesses are strapped on and you’re amped up and ready to go.
However, there is a very essential ingredient missing in this scenario: the wind!
I, like most of you, have had my fair share of kite trips where I just sat around on the beach waiting for something that never came.
In the kiting world we have a very fitting term for it: getting skunked.
This is the tale of one of those trips…
My next thing

This weekend I participated in my first ever Butterfly Effect and it was one of the best girls event I’ve ever done!
The wind gods weren’t with us but we had a blast going downwind on SUPs.
Thanks to Michelle from Cabarete Massage Therapy and Tatiana for making this all happen!
Can’t wait for next year.
